In less than two minutes, divorce papers can be signed, ripping a family apart. In less than two minutes, someone can commit suicide with the pull of a trigger. A relationship can be ruined, a job can be lost, and a car can be wrecked, all within a few short seconds. In the next two minutes, you will read about three teenagers who had some serious problems until they met the one Friend who had a life-changing solution.

Joe's parents were getting a divorce. His father was always gone and his mom couldn't take it any more. Joe was shattered. He determined that he would never trust anyone again. But one day, he met Someone who, unlike his dad, would never leave him.

Sarah hated her life and wanted to die. She had no hope. Sarah didn't even have the will to fight the drug addiction that was destroying her life. She was ready to give up until she met the One that gives hope to the hopeless.

Justin had a great relationship with his girlfriend. But one day, for no reason, she dumped him. Justin was crushed. He didn't think he could go on any longer. But then a powerful relationship began that would change his life forever.

Maybe you can relate to one of these teens. Their problems seemed way too big to handle until the met the Person that literally transformed their outlook on life. He can change yours as well. His name is Jesus Christ.

The Bible makes it clear that you and I have messed up. But let's be honest...we don't need the Bible to tell us that. We have sinned before God and have been selfish with others. God's Word also reminds us that no matter how many good deeds we do, we could never be accepted before God in our sinful condition. Good deeds may cover up our sins before others, but they could never erase them before God. The worst news of all is that becuase of our sin, we are doomed to a miserable existence on this earth and an eternal separation from God in a place called hell.

But there is good news. Two thousand years ago, Jesus Christ, the son of God Himself, invaded human history to die on a cross in our place to pay for our sin. This God-man gave His perfect life in sacrifice so that we wouldn't have to die in our sin. He took our punishment for us. Although He had never sinned, He suffered in your place and mine. Three days later, He rose from the dead, proving that He was God. Now He offers a personal, permanent relationship to you if you simply trust in Him as your only hope of going to heaven. Jesus put it this way, "I tell you the truth, he who believes has everlasting life." (John 6:47) Just believe that Jesus died for you, trusting in Him alone to take you to heaven, and you can begin a relationship with the God of the universe that will never end.

Jesus gave hope to Joe, Sarah and Justin. He longs to give you hope as well. If you trust in Him, He guarantees you a home in heaven someday and a new sense of purpose and meaning on the earth right now.

In two minutes a lot can happen...good or bad. If you just put your faith in Jesus Christ, then the last few minutes that it took you to read this has changed your life forever. You have a Friend and a Father who will be at your side from now on.
